Look of the Day: Christmas Brunch

Having fun with your friends is one of the  best parts of the Holiday season. This year we decided to gather for an early brunch and exchange some Christmas presents between friends. Diana was the hostess with the mostest as always and the manu included ceviche, fried plantains, chesse and cold cuts assortment, and lots of champagne to celebrate!

Divertirse con tus amigas es la mejor parte de la epoca navideña. Este año decidimos hacer un brunch e intercambiar algunos regalos entre todas. Diana fue la anfitriona y se pasó como siempre. El menú incluyó ceviche de pescado, patacones, variedad de quesos y jamones, y mucha mucha champaña para celebrar!

There is something season after season I promise myself I will try wearing: White shoes (sandals, pumps, loafers, any type really). See, I always had the problem of thinking  they look tacky on me, or at least they generally look tacky on most women. 

We live in the perfect weather for this kind of shoe and we could wear it year round, however is not common to see women around here wearing white shoes. So, when I see street style photos and celebrities in white shoes looking sophisticated and chic, I just can´t figure out how to translate it to real life....

Hay algo que todas las temporadas me prometo intentar hacer: usar zapatos blancos (sandalias, pumps, mocasines, cualquier modelo no importa). La verdad es que siempre he tenido el problema de considerar los zapatos blancos un poco tacky, o por lo menos a la mayoría de las mujeres se le ven tacky. 

Vivimos en un clima ideal para este tipo de zapato y lo podríamos usar el año entero, sin embargo no es común ver a las mujeres locales con sandalias blancas. Por eso cuando veo los looks callejeros y a las actrices de Hollywood usarlos y encima verse super chic, no logro traducir eso a la vida real....

¿Les gustan los zapatos blancos? ¿Los usan a menudo? Nos encantaría su input en este tema!

Trend: Pink for fall

You can do sweaters, oversize coats, or even dare to do the head to toe look. Pink is a flattering on all skyn types and is wearable year round. However  you can say is the color of the season because a lot of collections this AW14 showed amazing pieces in pale pink. So now it´s time to look trendy and match your wardrobe with your baby girl ;)

Puedes usarlo en suéteres, abrigos o incluso combinarte de pies a cabeza en rosado. Es un tono favorecedor para la mayoría de los tonos de piel y se puede usar todo el año. Sin embargo, se puede decir que es el color de la temporada porque muchas colecciones para este Otoño Invierno 2013 mostraron piezas en rosado claro. Ahora es el momento para verte trendy y encima combinar tu look con el de tu pequeña bebé  ;)

Forget the blazer, now you can look chic on any given day just by adding a cool bomber jacket to your jeans and shirt! 

Personally we think Zara has really cool and affordable ones...

Olvidate del blazer, ahora te puedes ver super chic cualquier día y a cualquier hora solamente añadiendo una chaqueta de estas a tus jeans y blusa!

Personalmente creemos que  Zara tiene unas opciones super trendy y asequibles...

Trend: The signet ring

The signet ring, for ages has been the symbol of tradition and used to seal a document with personal approval. They represent a family´s coat of arms or an alma mater´s emblem. Now, it has trascended to the runway and streets and as you can see in the september issue of Vogue USA, Jennifer Lawrence wears it with exceptional elegance. You can wear them on your pinky (our favorite!) or  combined with other rings in any other finger for that matter...

El anillo de sello ha sido por siglos usado como el símbolo de tradición y usado como sello de aprobación personal para documentos . También servía para mostrar el escudo de armas de la familia o el alma mater de una universidad. Ahora este accesorio ha transcendido a la pasarela y a las calles. Como pueden ver Jennifer Lawrence lo usa en la edición de septiembre de VOGUE, con excepcional elegancia cabe recalcar. Se lo puede usar en el dedo meñique (nuestro favorito) o combinado con otros anillos en cualquier otro dedo si prefieren...
